 From that point forward, even just signing up, my life changed forever.

I’ve been known to have a problem with my temper and not treating others with the respect they deserve in and out of my own family. I hoped and prayed for an experience that would improve my outlook on life and help me to become a better person. The C.R.H.P. experience was something that I could have never predicted.

That is the understatement of the century. This event and the brothers I shared this time with, changed me for the better unlike any other experience ever had.

I found true friendship with my C.R.H.P. brothers and have since become closer to my Lord Jesus Christ, closer than I ever thought possible.

Only days had passed after the weekend that my son Cole, my daughter Kendra and my wonderful wife Lisa sat me down and thanked me for attending C.R.H.P.

They explained to me what a refreshing feeling it is to have their Father and husband “back”, the person they loved and fell in love with. They could see true compassion and understanding for others feelings. They also recognized the slight pause I would take to consider what the ramifications would be if I did not control my reactive temper when usually I would just, shall we say, explode. My love and relationship with my family have not been this good in years. Each day brings a new appreciation and a deeper sense of being as one.

C.R.H.P. taught me many things without even being stated. I changed on the very day I signed up and have not stopped growing since. My family, friends, co-workers and I are all benefiting from my change. I have a closer personal relationship with God and often think about how wonderful that weekend was. I feel blessed to have my new C.R.H.P. friends and I often marvel at how few people I knew at St. Andrew even though I have been a parishioner since 1993. Now, prior to the beginning of Mass, I look around and see the people and their families that I can now call friends.
