Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) retreats are the center of a wonderful process that has been the primary instrument of personal and parish renewal in over 800 parishes in 35 states. While fairly new to St. Andrew, CRHP has existed since 1969 and has been recommended by the renewal office of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops. The retreat stresses a clear focus on the Gospel. It furthers personal conversion and community, ministry and prayer, healing and holiness, spiritual growth and gospel service. CRHP emphasizes continued growth in Christian life during our daily contacts with others and offers an excellent opportunity to meet other parishioners. No matter where you are spiritually, you will be touched by this incredible retreat. It is a gift that your fellow parishioners are excited to give you…all you have to do is accept it! When and where are the retreats held? The retreats are offered to all PARISHIONERS (21 and older) by PARISHIONERS as well as a parish priest. Each spring and fall, there is one retreat for men and one for women. They are held at our parish from 8:00 AM Saturday morning until 4:00 PM Sunday. Participants stay overnight at the parish, and volunteers serve and provide all meals. The entire retreat is informal. The next retreats are:
March 29th & 30th (men) / April 19th & 20th (women)
What happens on the retreat? The retreat enables you to hear and learn about God through the lives of other parishioners. It provides an atmosphere for individual spiritual growth through prayer & personal reflection. You can share conversations and thoughts (as much or as little as you desire) with others in the parish who also encounter many of the same demands of everyday life in family, society, and at work. Sacraments are part of the retreat. Mass is celebrated both Saturday and Sunday, and Reconciliation is offered Saturday evening.
If you feel that Christ, through the Holy Spirit, may be calling you—come! Space is limited, so register early!
